Caption: Things seemed pretty busy for Trillium when I was down in the area earlier this month. After shooting 564 rescuing 538/meeting 143 at Robbins, I found Trillium working Feeder Yard around 0900, building a train of grain hoppers for Port Colborne. They departed not long after, working WH Yard briefly along the way. This yard too had quite a few grain hoppers kicking around in it. Making the slow and steady trek south to the Port, they made a setoff of grain hoppers at the old Robin Hood mill that originated off of CP. There, they lifted CN-originated hoppers off of a siding for the Port Colborne Grain Terminal and/or ADM (I am not sure which they were for, or perhaps both). It was a really windy day, and unfortunately the wind was doing its best from preventing me getting a really smoky ALCO shot. Later that day I would see CP drop another big string of grain hoppers for Trillium at Feeder Yard, shown here.

Thanks everyone. Was my first time being able to shoot Trillium, though I did explore the line down into Port Colborne some time ago and had a few ideas in mind with respect to what I hoped to do when the opportunity came.

Another great shot James . It’s hard to believe these old ex-CN Alco switchers are still “chugging along”. Great angle and like “the Port local urban scenery”. Reminds me of days long ago hanging over Bathurst St railing taking pictures of these Alco’s working CN’s Spadina Coach Yard. Well done.
