These little superintendent cars always made me go into a wishful dream. How cool it would be to own one and travel the rails in these converted cabs. From what I was able to find out about them, there was only 3 made. Two stationed in B.C. and one in Alberta (in their initial years). They seem to be of a little higher grade of construction than the converted boxcars made into a similar type car with platform and brake wheel only at one end. Today, 61202 is headed for Fort McMurray, where it will stay for some several days before returning.

  1. What a great way to see the west that would be…………

  2. Whether along the shores of the Great Lakes or beside the mighty Fraser River, I’m pretty sure friends would be asking “Can I come for a ride too”. :-)

  3. They certainly resemble a Pt St Charles van without the cupola. Big fuel tank for a generator..Space for a theatre room?
