Another cool intermodal train from 30 years ago. CN 45 foot trailers and All Trans pups.
CN is now containers and Alltrans is long gone.
The shot that legends are made from.
Sometimes I am more lucky than good.
Did you notice that the cab door on the SD-50 is open! Good thing that they put a CP SD-40 up front. Open front doors – just another downside of those wide cab models.
LOL, we open the doors on non wide cab units too. It was probably not left open on purpose.
Great photo and great location. I was there.. once.
I would love to get back that way, but I am south of Houston now, and when we retire in a year or two, we are moving to central Ohio – all a very long way from the Canadian Rockies.
Another example of ‘rivals’ helping each other out. Great shot Steve!
cn5334 was,I believe,the only expo unit.
BTW,the cabs are no wider on the so called ‘wide cab’ units,it’s the nose that is wider! This has been a misnomer from the beginning.
