Caption: There are two things I likely will never see again at what once was a busy junction station: passengers waiting for the 'hopefully on time' train, and the interior waiting room of the station. Of course, it had been about 20 plus years since this station received the 'VIA' makeover, with their typical red shingled roofing from that era. Somehow, from the sagging exterior, leaky roof inside the waiting room, and overall dilapidated appearance I feel like this country gem is on borrowed time.

You’re welcome. It’s one of mine too…and the rural setting just adds to it’s history. Theres a good photo of it…in one of the station books authored by Elizabeth A. Willmott (I believe it was in ‘Meet Me At The Station’). Her photo shows the branch where the Thousand Islands Railway had run south into the town of Gananoque. Of course, the scene has become quieter through the years. But always neat to see how busy it once was.
