There’s a scene nobody’ will see for a long time to come. A nicely matched set of CP toasters transitions from the third main to track 2 at CN Snake, before travelling the last few miles back to home rails at Hamilton Jct. 9566 along with 9**0 and 8746 can travel over CN as part of a 100 year contract for trackage rights between Hamilton and Toronto. This was much more lucrative in the earlier years because of passenger traffic from Hunter St.

  1. Wasn’t long after this the rights were cancelled – so a shot with CP in triple track is definitely rare enough.

I only managed one shot of CP at Burlington West after the triple tracking project completed – have plenty from before. (http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=7377 for example)
