That day it was The Pumpkin Hunter, at least initially. This one may be familiar to some: a now-retired CN zebra-striped SD50F 5439 leads new BNSF "pumpkin" GEVO 7739 and another CN unit on train #338, sitting west of the Humber River waiting for a light power move heading to the Brampton Intermodal Terminal. All nicely framed in the Hwy 407 ETR sign by the Hwy 27 overpass.

That new BNSF pumpkin GEVO was the goodie of the day, and 338 had it. After driving around and scouting a few subpar spots, I received an update that he was nearby, so parked at the brown brick building in the background and headed up the overpass to intercept. Waiting around for a bit, there was no sign of him so I reluctantly headed back down. As I got back to the car and hopped in ready to leave, I look to my right and see 338 pull under the overpass and stop right there, with the BNSF unit in view. So, back up the bridge we go to shoot it from the sunny side!

Fortunately they stopped on the less-cluttered side of the overpass, with the BNSF just past the bridge, allowing me to nab some side shots of her. This one of the lead unit stands out most though. While the similar-looking CN SD60F fleet keeps racking up the miles, the SD50F is all but extinct.
