Arnold what is the correct date of this pic?
OOPS!!! Forgot to enter the date, which should be June 25, 1981.
Nice catch, finding photos of those (especially online) is a rare find!
****Indeed a surprise to see these locos. Come to think of it, I don’t know whether I have ever seen any Cartier photos of the RSD-15s in operation, and wonder if they were already stored at the time I saw them. (Ret’d in 1987 according to CTG)
Thanks for the comment.
I’m not sure about them running as Cartier painted units, but I’ve seen one shot of an M636-RSD15-GP9 lashup on an ore train in a book once. The RSD15 was still in B&LE colours with a high-nose! I had no clue what the thing was until it finally clicked one day.
This loco was principaly used on the Fire Lake train to Lake Jeannine
Thanks for the info. It has puzzled me that I have not seen any photos of this power actually working out there on the road. Perhaps I just hadn’t been looking hard enough.
