Caption: The whine of turbos spooling up and howl of 16 cylinder 645's breaks the silence of the nearby park as five (!) EMD GP's storm eastward over Fletcher's Creek with 90 carloads of interchange traffic for CN. This was just GEXR's normal #432, the "Mac N' Back" mainline run, which before the SD40 invasion got anywhere from 2 to 6 rag-tag GP38 and GP40's on a normal basis. The new bridge in the foreground is for the CN Halton Sub triple tracking project through Brampton, which eventually saw an extra mainline added between Bramalea and the Credit River for increasing GO service.
After sitting at Goderich out of service for years, 4046 was scrapped in 2013. Trailing units 4019, 4096, 3856, and 3835 eventually were sent to the Ottawa Valley Railway in North Bay, displaced by larger HLCX and GATX lease units that followed with motive power upgrading in later years.
