The WCR tourist/market train heads south back to the Farmer's Market after its 15:00 stop at Elmira. I just discovered this crossing for this shot, and I love the farm-like scene here combined with WCR's beautifully restored and repainted GMD-1 (ex CN 1437). More information about the WCR can be found here: https://waterloocentralrailway.com/.

  1. Great stuff, right by the Henry H. Martin farm. They keep it well maintained there.

  2. Those three cars look like the three that WCR got from the OBRY Credit Valley Explorer. The RDC-9 6006 is definitely one (it would look nice behind 9115, painted to match).

  3. Those would be all the ex. CVE cars. In order from behind the locomotive is 6006, 2003, 1978 with caboose 79482 (acq. 2007 from CN) on the end.

  4. @SCH: Thank you. Well maintained exactly. When I got there there was one piece of garbage at the track bed. An easy removal for the picture and to keep the area free from litter. Beautiful scene.

  5. Very nice K-Flo!

  6. There’s someone even cutting the grass there on Street View.

  7. One of the better open views of WCR on the line.

    Excellent photo Kevin.
