Caption: The USA-bound morning Amtrak #97, is seen crossing thru CN Iron Bridge on a nice sunny day. I like this shot for its simplicity; although I must admit I really miss the F40PH units compared to those rather blah looking P42s we see these days.
I do not see all that many photos taken from this location as it is not easily accessible. No idea what it is like there now, but I would assume there is a foot-path. And the trees are probably up.
In the past I have referred to this location as being Merritton, but according to my tattered old map of the area, the bridge is actually in the extreme north-east sliver of Thorold. Who woulda thunk it?

Soon, Mr. Mooney, we’ll be seeing ALC-42E’s on that train. Would eliminate the P32DM-AC change at Albany, that is if they don’t send it all the way up to Toronto.
