The ugly side of winter shows its true colours as the daily Sudbury Turn heads out of Capreol, Ontario on April 8th, 1982. The railway made the museum remove the blades from train order mast as it "might confuse" operating crews. The railway would not accept both blades displaying clear or green. Four SW1200RS units (1372 1375 1373 and 1376 this day) were standard power for the job in 1982.

  1. Awesome photo. That would have sounded great.

  2. In less than 10 years, train order signals were gone anyway. Was the museum able to re-install the blades I wonder?

  3. Thanks for the comments. As of this summer, no blades!!!!
