Caption: The thing I remember the most about wandering North Bay yard this long weekend way back in 1975 was how hot it was. The sun beating down when you are walking on ballast and if you want to sit, it would be on dark granite...phew, it was rough. Of course it is worth it all when you look back at the capture: ONR RS-3 #1308 is backing southward with a cut of cars, and I am watching it from just the other side of Old Callander Rd. That is the Power House in the background. Today, the empty space in front of that building is occupied by the new ONR paint shop. And in the background, ONR boxcars can be seen in the yard. Permission was granted to walk the yard, and cross tracks only at designated areas. No problem !!
