The station building out at Lake Louise is a beauty. It was one of six stations built of a rustic cabin design in the West. In a manner to promote tourism. The structure, built in 1909 and opened in 1910; served the CPR well, but eventually closed in 1990. In 1991 it was declared a Heritage Building. In 1994, a restaurant moved in and apparently is doing well. I understand there is very little change to the exterior of this building from bck when I shot this 42 years ago.

  1. No change to the building; the surroundings??

  2. Probably something around the site has changed. I gather the building is the same as it always was. Wonder if anyone on this group has been to the station in recent years……….be nice to hear what they saw there.
