The so called "F" unit is about as classic as a diesel locomotive can get. The design took over North America between the 1930's and 1950's and today is still one of the most recognizable and cherished designs out there. Ontario Southland's trio of "F"'s are among the very last still operating in freight service on the continent. Here 1401 and 6508 cast a 1950's reflection at Woodstock while waiting for CP train T69 to complete a set off for them at the east end of the Yard.
