That’s a nice wooden station that has stood the test of time. I once did a ‘band’ shot on the platform. Great to know it’s there and will get proper use.
Great photo. It brings back memories of when we had the cottage at Sundridge, also the many times working through there over the years.
Very nice Terry, a much better looking structure than the VIA shack just beyond it. Let’s hope Premier Ford’s promise becomes a reality soon and not forgotten like so many other political announcements. Is this historic station still owned by CN or has a historical group taken it over ? Thanks for posting, John
@railwayguy It’s a private group that runs the station hence plaques front. I’m not sure 100% who owns it but they were nice to show us around with pictures on the walls. They even let me know that a freight had just run through (so no point in waiting round for the next one.

Apparently South River is applying for a grant from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corp. (NOHFC) to examine the structural integrity of the building and to develop an architectural design.
