The old long-gone Norwood CP station, a relic from back when the agent/operator lived on the premises. At the time of this photo, the station still served daily CP Budd cars that ran round trip between Peterborough and Toronto. This is now Kawartha Lakes Railway, a CP internal shortline. Information on the demise of the old station would be appreciated.......

  1. Thanks for sharing this. I was raised in Perterborough, but I don’t think we ever crossed paths with this station.

  2. I like the looks of this old station, too bad it’s now just an empty gravel. I’ve parked here a few times waiting for the KLR to pass through, didn’t realize there used to be a station. Thanks as always for the interesting glimpses to the past.

  3. Another fine entry in the Mooney Historic Stations collection.

  4. I just found that this station was torn down very soon after I got this photo, as by spring of 1977 a small white shelter took place of the outdated station.
