The morning east view at TMC circa 1985
This evening's larger than usual #129 Northland's GMD power & train is at the fuel rack,
Northland: a 1954 Pullman Standard built E series (#11xx, 4 section, 8 roomettes, 4 double bedroom ) ex CN sleeper on the tail end and the four middle passenger cars – with the shiny roof paint are ONR equipment.
At upper right is today's #9 Canadian equipment: with mostly Budd built standard cars:
#9: ex CP Park, Manor, Dining Room, Manor, Chateau sleeping cars, then a Budd built ex CP coach, a CC&F 1954 built Cafe Coach (32xx series), ex CN baggage & GMD F power. ( and yes #9 is pointing the departure direction: east from Union then up the Bala to Doncaster, west on the York to Snider, then north on the Newmarket).
Looking through the shed is an equipment move: two Budd cars, a CC&F coach and a couple of Budd built, plus a F unit.
At left the Sarnia via Brantford ex Sunday Budd Cars (likely #682) are sprinting along the Oakville Sub track #3 (south) track at 70+ mph to Union, 6.7 miles to the east. Note the yet to be operated on today Oakville Sub (middle) track #2.

That’s the first time I’ve noticed the track and switch arrangement each side of the fuel racks. Pretty neat.
