The local power is at rest in the Transflo yard in Beauharnois on a warm Saturday afternoon. In the background at right is the St-Clément Catholic church, which was completed in 1845. At left is the smokestack of what remains of the Spexel paper mill. Built in 1912, It closed in 2004 and was demolished in 2020 after a fire damaged it. It produced Canadian currency for numerous decades.
