Nice catch. 580 has turned into a road switcher with bridge traffic – 582 depends on 580 to deliver cars, hence the daily dance at Guelph often ending in an exchange of cars.

Actually generally speaking 580 still does the work the north spur in Guelph, which was the case on this day. 582 usually doesn’t work the Guelph North unless 580 is behind or other unforeseen issues occur.
Perhaps the fact that 580 and 582 swapped power this day lead you to believe this ?
