The last RLHH train to Paris in the 1997-2018 era is seen passing through the rural area between Onondaga and Cainsville nearly three years ago. At the time the RLHH only ran in daylight occasionally, and in this case they had to get the train completed before CN took over at the strike of midnight. Since the takeover, instead of a once every month or two daylight train (or less) from RLHH - CN runs four movements a day in daylight basically. Quite the difference in operations - RLHH did everything with one train.

  1. Still quite a green carpet for mid-September.

    Bogie at 12:00k. :-)

  2. Welcome to southern Ontario haha. Everything is still mostly green today as I type this, and likely will be for a while yet. We had a day in November 2020 with daytime highs in the mid 20s and humidex values over 30.

  3. Summer weather here is to unpredictable. It can be nice, for short periods, end of story. The Edmonton weather I love is the short periods of summer that occur in October, sometimes. For a week or so it will be in the +20° range late in the afternoon, going down to just below freezing at night. Sunny all day, little wind. What I found to be great picture taking temperatures, nothing gets frozen or baked. :-)

  4. Green until mid October, depends when it starts to cool off…… it can vary by a couple weeks depending.

  5. CN has made this line easy pickings for anyone who wants to get shots! When I was young I would always jump on the opportunity of daylight SOR…hard to believe that daylight opportunities happen several times daily now
