Caption: The Goodrich Exeter's newest arrival SD40-3 #6908 has added a little more variety to a roster that is gradually fading away to GW orange. although the unit was built decades ago for Canadian National it has since been rebuilt with an upgraded electrical system by Alstom and is probably one of the most up to date units on GEXR's roster. This overhead view shows off some of the units details specifically ordered by CN, from its snow shields, to two colour class lights, since plated over above the number boards. The notch cut out above the former bell location was to eliminate clearance issues with the horn, since relocated as well. Today's trio of SD's are digging hard into the beginning of their climb up the escarpment as they head west for Stratford.

When built these units also had low profile roof fans as seen in this photo. http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=11977
