The Goderich & Exeter has just dropped off the latest products from General Motors Diesel in London at CN's MacMillan Yard in Toronto. Fortunately for me, I worked days on Saturdays so took a spin down through the yard after leaving the RTC Centre.
Out in the open are Direct Rail Services (UK) JT42CWR 66424
                     SNTF (Algeria) GT36CW's 060DR11-060DR01-060DR12-060DR10
and Direct Rail Services (UK) JT42CWR 66425

  1. I remember seeing something like this rumbling down the Grimsby Sub after finishing touches put to them at ITS Rail, Welland. However, that was a couple of days earlier than this image.
    Very unusual catch!!

  2. Ahh yes, the “class 66″ extras. I don’t understand the British class system, but the Brits sure went nuts for this when these were released from GMDD.

  3. These trains were always interesting. Here’s a good explanation of the British locomotive classification system; TOPS: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/TOPS
