Caption: The daily westbound #923, or 'London Pickup' as some called it, often had interesting power. And it gave plenty of opportunities for photos. In this scene it has straddled 1st Line, as it works the jct. The trailing unit behind CP 4561, the former NS 3250, now CP, was leased to CP and then purchased by them about a month before this photo was taken.

I see we are both swinging for the fences this weekend Arnold. I love units looming large in the lens. This one is a dandy. Thanks for posting this one.
Thanks! I know what you mean, but these days I am more apt to go for scenery because the majority (around here) of CP GEs are rather dreadful to look at. The paint, the dirt, the monotony of repetition. The very lines of this old MLW make it oh so attractive. To me, anyway.
I am right in your boat and rowing with you. This is a fantastic photo. This one is over the fence and out of the ballpark.
Sheesh!! What colourful commentary!! The Edmonton SUN must be looking for you.:o) Merci.
Another great picture Arnold.
Lets not forget that great ALCO 251 V16 sound smoke and sometimes flames!
