The crew of Trillium 108 has just finished running around their train so that they can continue their journey towards the Port. I quite enjoy grain movement, so this was a fun little chase for me. After building their train at Feeder and WH Yard, they dropped CP interchanged grain at the old Robin Hood mill, and were taking this CN interchanged grain down to the Port Colborne Grain Terminal and ADM. It is my understanding that the old Robin Hood mill only relies on rail when the shipping season is closed for the winter. So I am not sure how many more (if any) unit grain trains like this CP will be interchanging with Trillium until next year. Being on the north side of the train, this was a shot that was afforded by an overcast day. At this particular location, the north side allows for a more favourable, open angle than the south side would. If one was looking to do something similar on a sunny day, you may be able to access a more open south side shot further west at the end of Rosemount Ave.

  1. This explains why I’ve seen so many of those grain cars on 422 lately.
