Caption: The conductor for Sarnia-Chatham D725 has just detrained off SD40-2F 9019 to grab paperwork inside the Chatham Station. Trailing engines are CP 6059 with CSXT 2561 and CSX 2570 and the train had about 40 cars. Two CSX engines were brought down from Sarnia, set-off in the Chatham Yard to be used on a D724 from Chatham to Blenheim, returning to Sarnia later that day.
For anyone who is interested in CSX Ontario's modern day operations, check out the May 2014 edition of Railroads Illustrated where I have had an article published about the CSX. While it doesn't compare to the stuff those senior to me have photographed and posted here lately, the article is a snapshot in time of the operations of the fascinating former C&O Canadian Division focusing on the present day. The article also includes some photos never before published. Check out your local hobby shop for a copy or you can order from their website here. Thank you.
