The classic view in Edmonton of CN's Wainwright Sub crossing the North Saskatchewan River on the NE side of the city.
A westbound potash train destined to North Vancouver for export is the subject of this particular show.
Bretville Junction - the connection between the Wainwright Sub (CN's mainline) and the Camrose Sub, that ultimately leads to Calgary, is just across the river at right.
Through the bridge trusses can be seen steam rising from a Celanese chemical plant. It has since been decommissioned.
