Neat angle. The old mile post sign almost still looks like it’s attached to the first pole too.

I’m not sure this vertical mile board came off the CASO. Any modern mileboards i saw were placed by CN and in CN Style at the tombstone mileboards.
Someone may have got creative Maybe there’s a fan in the signals department ??
At some point the american mileboards on the CASO would have had to come down, and someone who was there would have to chime in on what the modern replacements looked like into the 80′s
on the CSX in Sarnia there’s a mixture of Concrete and steel and the styles vary, some of the CSX steel ones remind me of the one pictured here.
Who knows, it may be a story lost to time at this point. Hopefully someone out there knows. Its the only one of this style on the Cayuga Spur that i’m aware of.
