Eric; I enjoy your photos from up around Barrie. You find these hidden gems so often. But this photo stumps me. I suppose it is my own fault from just driving by Barrie every time rather than actually going into town…..That building on the left is a replica, is it not? And the center building; wasn’t it once curved on the left side and white. And wood? Would appreciate a quick overview of just what these buildings are. Thanks!!
Arnold it is the same buildings, wood paneling and curved window is still there but the angle of the photo hides it.
Glad you enjoy them Arnold. I have better luck shooting static subjects around here. The building on the left is original, the tower is a replica. The centre building was a restaurant and the brick building on the right was offices. The canopies are the only curved items. The buildings were restored around 2010. The buildings are empty as they are tied up in a lawsuit with a developer. The ugly fence might be there for a while.
eric this is perfect. best possible light and zero shadows.
great work.
