TE11 passes by the decommissioned signal pole at mile 10 of the Dunnville Spur.  This was a lucky catch, as I was parked near Feeder Yard hoping for the PCHR to make an appearance.  While waiting there I overheard on the scanner the Welland Yard crew tell the RTC that they were about to head to "port" so I quickly changed my plans for the day.

  1. So what’s the story on these sudden daylight moves in May and June?

    I didn’t hear about it and would have happily gone down for it. Seems I was the last to know, 2 months later.

    It must be much more common now than we think for a few people to have been able to get it.

  2. Awesome shot, Craig. Much nicer than what I was able to get, I regret to say. :) Certainly doesn’t hurt that it wasn’t the long hood of 3045, which I saw far too much of during its tenure in Welland.

  3. I understand that for a time, Welland was down to one job, on days, to do everything. Recently, the night job was reinstated, and the Port turn has returned to its nocturnal run time.
