Caption: Stopping by the Fort Erie CN shop on a miserable cold snowy day in February, 38 years ago as this is posted, one can see a variety of units, mostly switchers and GP9s. The only locomotive ID'd by number is that N&W F unit facing outward, the 3660. I didn't jot numbers back then, however it is unusual that all the heavy road units are out, unless there are a couple on the close track behind the N&Ws. Hard to believe such a scene was commonplace. There even were rather substantial locomotive repairs carried out here. Now, a struggling Rail Museum has taken foothold in the old shop building after the facility sat empty for many years. CN pulled out around 1989.
