Caption: Still two years away from extinction by new replacement Toronto Rocket trains that would take over, the mid-70's Hawker Siddeley Canada H5 cars were just more of the same that provided daily service on the Yonge-University-Spadina line (aka "Line 1") combined with newer T1 cars. But when you know the writing is on the wall, it's best to nab 'em when they're still plentiful. Higher-numbered car 5798 brings up the rear of a 6-pack of H5's, paused at Dundas Subway Station to pick up more passengers (and let off the photographer after his trip down from Yorkdale station) before continuing up the Yonge line.
One change to some of the stations after the TR's entered service was removal of all the ceiling slats directly over the tracks (apparently due to the TR's roof-mounted HVAC system blowing out all the years of grime and dirt accumulated up there) but not over the platforms, giving the stations a somewhat unfinished look.
