Caption: Steam-diesel transition era doubleheader: Canadian Pacific RS18 8766, about a year old at the time, doubleheads with G3 Pacific 2332, backing their train into Lambton Yard past the elevators of Maple Leaf Milling in West Toronto ("The Junction"). The southbound train had just come off CP's northern gateway into town, the MacTier Sub, pulled east onto the North Toronto Sub at Osler, and backed west across the diamonds into the yard.

These kind of movements were common at West Toronto, until a connecting track at the north-west quadrant of the diamonds was built, allowing trains coming off the MacTier Sub bound for Lambton and West Toronto yards a more direct route.
