Sitting over on the east side of the river bridge at Thamesford on a nice afternoon, it was a bummer that eastbound #904 was running a little late. As in close to sundown. The longer the wait, the worse the sun angle. But at least the scene was captured; borrowed GO 515, 703 and 513 lead CP 5993 and 5902 back to Toronto, where the GO units must be returned from their weekend freight service to regular weekday commuter operations. Both CP and CN borrowed GO power back around this time, as due to an upswing in freight traffic they were both running power short.

  1. That is a neat picture! GO was primarily still a Monday to Friday commuter service then. Good idea to make a little extra revenue from locomotives which otherwise would be sitting around for those two days.

  2. Interesting passenger train for the local farmers :)
