Sitting in the old TH&B yard in Hamilton, all chained down and ready to roll is old 1950-built centre cab #52 out of Stelco. It was being transferred to a Stelco subsidiary in Edmonton, Alberta. Wondering if it is still out there............

  1. I’ve seen this critter in years back (in the 90′s or something like #52). I believe they are using an SW1500 for plant switching now, they have an ex-CN SW1200rs sitting out front on display. :-)

  2. I can recall seeing this unit at the plant in Edmonton as recently as 2006. You will be happy to know that it has since be moved to the Alberta Railway Museum….. another reason for a trip out west!
