Shift change at National Steel car - new well cars are being switched into the finishing bays as final touches have yet to be applied. NSC is truly one of our made in Canada success stories, despite the incursion of southern US and Mexico labour pools, this facility pumps cars out on multiple shifts per day. As alluded in some earlier rp.ca photographers flag shots, it took a dozen shots to get one with the flag completely unfurled..

This is also another operation that suprises me to still exist in 2016 - considering the strike in 2009, and the construction of the new National Alabama a year or so later.. which failed.. NSC is here to stay for now.

  1. Let’s hope the workers aren’t laid off. We definitely do not need another GMD rearing it’s ugly head.
