Caption: Seen here wearing a special paint scheme for the short lived passenger train named "Whistler Northwind", BCOL 1700 was a definite odd ball on the CN locomotive roster. Officially retired at the time of this photo, 1700 spent it's last days on CN working the yard job in Fort Nelson BC. It is seen here in transit to Prince George to be drained, it was eventually sold to a company in Mexico. The Whistler Northwind was a passenger service BC Rail offered between North Vancouver and Prince George. It began in 2001 and was ended in late 2002.
