CP 402998 is a Jordan Type J, 4-150X spreader. It is equipped with front cab, high snow plow front blade, articulated side wings, hydraulic cylinders, and a high rear platform. It was built in 1981 and wears serial number 1489. Looks like he has the wing perfectly set for some nice shoulder profiling, ditch cleaning, and a little bank widening.
I can see in this ‘going away’ shot that the operator has lifted the heal of the wing up slightly to stop the gouging of the shoulder ballast, which is quite evident in the ‘coming towards’ pic.
