Sandwiched between 2 CP GEs, 3 ex-BN triclops SD60Ms hitch a ride dead-in-tow on CP 147 as it flies through Summerhill at last light. The 60Ms are believed to be heading back to their owner (CIT group) after being on lease to the CMQ.

  1. Love this shot. It perfectly shows the CIT units between the two CP units, en route to Chicago I understand. Very well done.

  2. Nice lighting!

  3. @awmooney thank you very much!

  4. Very nice picture Liam, always like the”last light of day”. But I am bit confused (easy to do at my age), where were you located when you took this picture ? To me your facing east, with the former CPR (LCBO store) Summerhill-Yonge St station tower in the back ground with the setting sun lighting it up nicely. Is that the bridge over Avenue Rd that CP 147 is about to cross ? Many thanks, John

  5. @Marcus Stevens you can say that again, by the time the train cleared there was no sunlight left.

  6. @railwayguy Yup, looking east towards Avenue, you got it!

  7. I was hoping to catch this lash up in my neck of the woods as apparently they were set off at ‘West Toronto’ Yard i’m assuming they meant Lambton after you caught this Liam. Great catch and excellent photo!

  8. @BradKetchen they were set off by 143 in lambton the night before, then got lifted back to Agincourt and stuck on 147. Cheers!

  9. @trainsintoronto I thought it was an error that they were on 147 but that explains it. Thanks for clarifying!
