RLHH 3404, QGRY 2500 & RLKK 3049 with 70 cars in tow are about to split the uprights of one of CN Rail's recently installed Single Track AEI Systems enhancing the Hagersville Subdivision. This set of scanners / track sensors is located at MP 2.61 Walpole Concession 6 with the north configuration positioned at MP 7.22 Walpole Concession 11. RLHH 597 will soon be tied down at the extreme north end of Garnet Yard to await her new crew before departing for Paris West. This was truly an interesting day trackside with special thanks and appreciation to friendly crew of RLHH 3404.

Railfans familiar with the Hagersville Subdivision may be interested to know that a Communications Tower has been installed at the south end of Garnet Yard MP 4.7. Change of plans … the 'ole' Station at Hagersville is now considered unsafe and will undoubtedly be torn down. Previously buried cabling has been rerouted in preparation for two portable trailers. Interesting developments!

  1. The tower may also be for communicating with aei readers and so on, notice the antenna on silver box at left.

  2. Where did 6908 go?

  3. Engineer with 3404 on Saturday reported 6908 left in Brantford Friday for Hamilton / to be switched out. As such, 3049 pulled off yard switching duties for the day to work north end of refinery on Saturday and then tagged on with 2500 & 3404for trip to Paris, etc. Not sure of the actual freight threesome today or unit working the north end.
