  1. The 8762 has a lightweight truck on the front. When it was necessary to place one of these only on a unit in the shop, it was desireable to place it on the long hood end instead of under the cab, becuase they rode rather rough. It was gernally unusual to see them under RS-18, more common under RS-3s and of course some RS-23s.

  2. I thought they also sometimes returned that weekend lease power via the Canpa Sub? It was a treat to get those units on freight trains once and a while, they had CN spec. footrests & much nicer seats than on CP’s power.
