Caption: RECENTLY REFURBISHED. Terra Transport baggage car 1308 and coach 764 are captured just prior to the departure of Mixed Extra 935 West at Bishops Falls, Newfoundland on April 16, 1988. Having been taken out of service for the prior 3 months following a CTC ruling that saw the mixed cancelled for the winter months, it and the baggage car were restored to pristine condition by the TT Shops in St. John's. With an imminent but not yet confirmed closure, the turntable in the foreground was now in the locked position. Built in 1949 by the Canadian Car and Foundry as coach No. 47 for the Newfoundland Railway and later renumbered 764 under the CNR, it survived the shutdown of the narrow gauge system in September of that year and now makes a wonderful addition to the permanent display at the Lewisporte Train Park.
