Caption: Recently reactivated old cabcar GO 253 leads a westbound Lakeshore East GO train into the Union Station Rail Corridor (USRC) as it rolls slowly towards Union Station.
The most notable part of this shot is the bank of searchlights that GO 253 is passing under. While the actual searchlights date to sometime in the mid 60s or so, the bridge itself is nearly 90 years old, having been built in the 1930s. Other searchlights in the east half of the USRC are quickly getting replaced by LEDs, and this bridge has a concrete slab nearby for its replacements, so I knew I had to get a shot quickly before this piece of history disappears.
