Rain or shine, sun or snow: on this snowy winter's day, Reg Button was out to capture a photo of Conrail train FT-1 (Frontier-Toronto) heading eastbound through Bayview Junction on CN's Oakville Sub, bound for CP trackage at Canpa and on to Toronto (Agincourt) Yard. Power today is Conrail GP38 8113, U33B 2906 (both in patched Penn Central paint), and GP35 3628 (patched but still in former owner Reading's colours). While visibility was less than ideal, the latter unit probably made braving the cold and wintry elements worth it.

  1. So typical in the early years of Conrail.

  2. Probably told his wife, going for a loaf of bread. This was the running joke with Reg.
