Private Car Babbling Brook is seen parked on Track 17 of Montreal's Central Station. This car was built by Budd for New York Central and is now privately owned. It arrived in Montreal on Amtrak's Adirondack on Friday evening and will be departing Sunday morning. Of note to Toronto-area railfans; it will be making its first trip to Toronto this coming week, arriving on Tuesday and departing the next morning on the Maple Leaf.

  1. Arrived in Toronto tonight, August 28, on VIA 98 (the Maple Leaf)…looks good!

  2. It did time in the 60′s on CP as their “Seaview”, one of 4 ex-NYC observations acquired. Ironically there’s a shot of it on Old Time Trains sitting at John St. coachyard in Toronto.

  3. Yes, I should have specified making its first trip to Toronto in its current incarnation.
