Caption: Port Colborne's Canal Days is an annual event held over the civic holiday weekend (Aug. 4 - 7, 2000 - exact day approximate) celebrating the Welland Canal and the prosperity it has brought to the town and Niagara Region. During the early years of Trillium's Port Colborne Harbour Railway, short excursions were held using ALCO S1 308, ALCO C-425 6101, and coaches from the Medina Railroad Museum in New York. Nearing the end of the day, 308 swings around the curve approaching Elm Street.

Great scene, Bruce. Perfect lighting.
Shot this unit in may 2018 and it hadn’t changed a bit. But now it is repainted
Ex-Erie now on NY & LE
Very nice image Bruce…I did manage to enjoy those trains when they ran, maybe not the most interesting ride, but the cars were nice vintage units and a rail fan trip is a rail fan trip any way you look at it…hard to believe it is pushing 25 years…thanks for posting
