PHLX SD40-2s 8 (in an SD45 body) and 13 rest outside of the large elevator at Oban, SK, 8.6 miles west of Biggar on CN's busy Wainwright Sub. #8 is originally an SP unit and #13 originally a CN unit, which would've passed by this location many many times.

  1. Hmmm. I saw #15 at Burlington, Iowa in Sept of last year. Newly painted.

  2. When it was built decades ago, I bet nobody at EMD envisioned their high-horsepower SD45 being used as a lowly grain elevator switcher!

  3. ANOTHER black industrial unit@*@*!!@!!! Henry Ford would be proud!
