This shot is so….well….its Del-lightful.
Easy to place a time on this shot. Had to be the close of steam, to use a Pacific on a way freight. Sad, but a stirring visual. So glad Del Rosamund thought to take the picture.

Sorry Jacob, but the van number is just a tiny blur on the TIFF file. Are you searching out a particular caboose?
Yes Peter, I’m looking specifically for photos of CPR 436994 (built 1941), the wooden van owned by the Guelph Historical Railway Association, of which, I am a member.
Thanks for the info, JP. I went through the scanned Rosamond slides in my possession. Del’s interest was primarily in motive power. I’m guessing the he (along with everyone else) never imagined the demise of the caboose. I didn’t have any luck locating your van.
I also ventured through the approximately 80 remaining slides that have yet to be scanned. There is a decent shot which includes caboose #436800, but nothing matching your quest. Sorry, my friend!
