Other then motive power traveling to and from the OBRY this is the only time I have ever caught three units on T14 in all of my years of photographing the train. Reportedly 3022 had mechanical issues yesterday, and I couldn't think of a better unit to fill in for the occasion. With only a few painted SOO units left on CP's roster this was certainly a good reason to get out of bed early. These days T14 is often in Streetsville around 6am rather than late morning. While most of the former SOO GP38's are now equipped for remote control operation, it appears 4410 so far has not been RC equipped. The train has now finished switching in town and has just grabbed a cut of BNSF covered hopper left on the branch, that were lifted earlier on its way to Streetsville and will depart town as soon as train #651 passes.

  1. Definitely a very nice composed photo and a well traveled leader.

  2. Excellent shot! And the SOO on the point to boot!

  3. Now T14 is the train that sets off the loads destined fo Orangeville which 333 will later on pick up correct? Great shot btw.

  4. I heard earlier today that SOO 4410 was assigned to T14 and, genuinely, my first thought was, “Well I can’t catch it today, but if its in the city it might be hard to get a decent angle of it anyways”. I was proven wrong with your shot here Marcus, that’s very nice!

  5. Thanks everyone! Yes the OBRY actually showed up as I took this shot. They were about half a mile behind T14 waiting for them to clear the branch. They came as light power today but left with about seven cars.

  6. Really nice Marcus.
