Caption: The fall colours of the Niagara Escarpment are in full form as Ontario Rail Association's former Canadian Pacific steam engines 136 & 1057, lettered for the Credit Valley Railway, back their train up at Cataract for a fantrip run-by north of the scenic Forks of the Credit Provincial Park. Both are operating together on a weekend ORA fantrip north from Toronto to Owen Sound via Streetsville, up the CP Orangeville and Owen Sound Subdivisions and back the next day. The five car train featured Ontario Rail's private car 'Temagami' on the tail end.

This photo was taken from above the Orangeville Sub on the Elora Sub right-of-way. Cataract was once the junction point between CP's Orangeville Sub and their Elora Sub branchline (that headed west through Caledon to Elora) and had its own station and passing track. It also had its own water tower and turntable during the steam era. Unfortunately the Elora Sub was another victim of dwindling branchline traffic, and was eventually abandoned by CP in December 1987.

CP continued to operate the Orangeville Sub (folded into part of the Owen Sound Sub sometime in the mid-80's) until the City of Orangeville acquired the line between Streetsville to Orangeville in 2000 (CP was going to abandon it, and had already abandoned the line from Orangeville to Owen Sound), and began operations as the Orangeville-Brampton Railway.
