When Toronto Yard handed its outbound 421s some disappointing leaders in the past, that was the end of story. Now, trailing units are a key piece of information to pay attention to as unusually large consists hint that Sudbury demands another powerset for their lone manifest origin. No northbound counterpart exists, and so 421 is deemed the delivery boy for Sudbury power. On the first week of October, 421-05 was the delivery boy for two good trains; 8BAL that later continued northwest with 3747 and 9022, and this 422, with 7016 and 8745. Here it is seen on its returning trip on the North Toronto at the Summerhill signal bridge in Rosedale, Toronto. Fall colors were booming elsewhere in the province, but the carbon emissions from locomotive exhaust seem to keep the trackside foliage here a little too healthy.
